During the spring, summer and fall seasons we provide full grounds maintenance including lawn care services, flower and tree planting, aerating and de-thatching, leaf removal and various other types of maintenance including full lawn and garden care programs for fertilizing and weed and insect control. Positions for winter employment following the summer season are also available.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance of flower beds including pruning, edging, and weeding to promote healthy plant growth.
- Installation of flowers and other plant material, soil, mulch, etc.
- Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues or areas needing attention.
- Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, and hand lifting/carrying.
- Utilize hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners to carry out various landscaping tasks.
- Operate power tools safely and effectively for tasks such as digging and cutting.
- Operate company vehicle.
- Supervise and motivate crew members.
- Actively participate in on-the-job training of crew members.
- Assist in winter operations by clearing and salting of snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties during the winter months.
- Complete and submit paperwork related to any jobs, maintain written time records and work orders.
- Maintain accurate records of on-site activity including time tracking, work orders, health and safety forms, equipment logs, etc.
- Communicate issues relating to employee relations, equipment issues, customer issues – make suggestions for solutions.
- Maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures prescribed by the Company and WHMIS Guidelines in performance of duties.

Skills and Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of plant types, soil health, and seasonal plant care
- Formal horticultural training or certification (preferred).
- Leadership experience in a landscape or groundskeeping role.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to our Ottawa office.
- Strong communication and team coordination skills.
- Commitment to safety and professionalism.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
