Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Office Assistant, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners. In this vital role, you’ll support daily clinic operations mostly on the back end, ensure smooth communication between staff and clients, and assist with administrative tasks that keep our practice running efficiently. Your positive attitude and attention to the detail will contribute to delivering exceptional care and service to our furry patients and their families.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage client check-in and check-out processes with professionalism
- Answer phone calls promptly, provide information, and coordinate appointment scheduling or follow-up care
- Maintain accurate patient records, update medical histories, and assist with filing and data entry
- Support veterinary staff by preparing examination rooms, handling laboratory samples, and assisting during procedures if needed
- Manage inventory of medical supplies entered into the software properly and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with laboratory tasks and animal handling (laboratory experience preferred)
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment plans, medication instructions, and post-visit care instructions
- Keeping the working space tidy by cleaning the periphery, exam rooms, surgery rooms, washroom, reception area and furniture on daily basis.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members
- ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS for accurate record keeping and Inventory handling.
- Advanced computer skills, software handling after training, Microsoft office, drafting, creative skills, and files organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information and medical records
- Animals experience is highly desirable to support day to day work and procedures effectively
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners, demonstrating patience and empathy without any judgement.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining professionalism

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
