Job Summary
PFG Glass Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join our operations team as a full-time Industrial Cleaner. This position is vital to maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of our plant floor and warehouse environments. We provide complete training on all specialized equipment and facility cleaning protocols for individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining the production floor, walkways, and warehouse areas to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Operating industrial cleaning equipment, including ride-on floor scrubbers, commercial vacuums, and pressure washers.
- Emptying heavy industrial waste bins, recycling containers, and glass scrap hoppers safely using designated handling equipment.
- Wiping down machinery, structural supports, and safety barriers according to established maintenance schedules.
- Managing the inventory of cleaning supplies and reporting restocking needs to the department supervisor.
- Maintaining clean and sanitized staff common areas, including breakrooms, locker rooms, and washrooms.
- Identifying and reporting any potential building maintenance or safety hazards to the management team.
- Adhering strictly to corporate safety policies, chemical handling protocols, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, commercial janitorial work, or a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a dependable means of transportation to attend scheduled shifts.
- Strong English communication skills to read safety labels, instructions, and chemical safety data sheets.
- The physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout an eight-hour shift.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly workspace in compliance with industrial safety standards.
Compensation, Hours, and Benefits
The starting wage for this position is 21.00 dollars per hour. Regular shift schedules include morning, afternoon, and night options to support our continuous production facility. We provide an additional shift premium of 1.50 dollars per hour for the afternoon shift and 3.50 dollars per hour for the night shift.
