Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming atmosphere, delivering exceptional customer service, and demonstrating strong leadership skills. This role involves managing bar operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety and alcohol regulations. The Lead Bartender will serve as a key point of contact for guests and team members, fostering a positive environment that encourages repeat business and high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee daily bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Supervise and mentor bartending staff, providing training on drink preparation, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, alcohol service laws, and company policies.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Clover POS; perform cashiering duties as needed.
- Maintain a welcoming environment by engaging with guests professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor guest feedback to ensure high levels of satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Assist in creating drink menus, specials, and promotional events to enhance guest experience.
- Uphold responsible serving practices by recognizing signs of intoxication and managing service accordingly.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or food industry settings, with a strong background in food handling and beverage service.
- Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Clover POS, for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and inventory management.
- Leadership ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
