Detailed Overview: Performs a variety of tasks involving cleaning of pots and kitchen equipment in the Food and Nutritional Services Department. Responsibilities:
- Washes items such as pots, pans and utensils.
- Scours, cleans and polishes food service equipment and fixtures in acordance with established standards and procedures.
- Return clean pots and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
- Cleans and sanitizes garbage cans.
- Cleans work areas including counter tops, sinks, machines and equipment; spot washes walls and cleans splash areas, in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Assists with the set up and service of special functions as required.
- Puts away orders received from Central Stores.
- Pressure washes resident tray carts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Grade 10 plus one (1) year's recent, related experience of an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Food Safe I certificate.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal effectively with others.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
