Privately owned rep agency in search of a Technical Sales Specialist to account manage a product line sold into the Crane & Hoist industry.
With headquarters and a warehouse in Winnipeg, we are looking to add a member to its resident outside sales team, which already includes sales offices in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The successful candidate will have sales responsibility for Eastern Canada. This is a mature territory with many established clients. We expect our new sales specialist to provide the same level of service these clients have been receiving. The position will require travel for in-person sales calls. When not travelling, the expectation would be that this person will work from home and reside in Southern Ontario or Quebec.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Build relationships with clients that are mutually beneficial for both companies.
· Meet regularly with purchasing departments to review projects and open orders.
· Meet with engineering and service teams to ensure that our product line is considered for all applications.
· Discuss other opportunities within a client’s facility that we might be able to supply.
· Cold call end users to identify new targets in the territory.
· Regular phone and email interaction with all customers.
· Completion of regular call reports and territory plans.
· Schedule and plan sales trips to ensure time and expenses are used efficiently.
· Where necessary, support sales and marketing efforts at trade shows.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
· 5 years of sales experience in Industrial sales for Crane & Hoist is an asset
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills
· Strong sales, organizational skills and closing abilities
· Self-motivated and driven
· Trustworthy, reliable, confident, organized and display an outgoing personality.
· Desire to learn about different products
· Basic Electrical & Technical aptitude
· Computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite of products.
· Basic understanding of Salesforce would be an asset.
· Good understanding of basic business principles
· A background in the Overhead Crane Industry would be an asset
· This is a customer-facing sales position; you must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. French-speaking an asset.
Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
