Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, construction practices, and maintenance procedures. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of technical skills to ensure the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing infrastructure meets safety and quality standards. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and install piping systems
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to transport materials and equipment as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing fixtures and systems to ensure optimal operation
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians to coordinate project activities
- Troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to identify root causes
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards during all phases of work
- Assist in the assembly of complex piping networks following detailed schematics and technical specifications
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson plumbing license or certification required
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction or maintenance environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in HVAC systems is preferred
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions
- Knowledge of schematics, assembly processes, and carpentry fundamentals beneficial
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
