Dishwasher – Full-Time
Join Our Food Services Team!
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Dishwasher to join our Food Services team. This is a full-time position, working approximately 30–40 hours per week. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a steady supply of clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans for kitchen operations.
- Clear and bus tables as required and reset dining areas.
- Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the commercial dishwasher.
- Wash and sanitize pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain the dish machine to ensure proper operation.
- Unload and organize clean dishes, cookware, and utensils.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers regularly.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and completing general cleaning duties.
- Clean food preparation stations and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety standards and report any accidents, hazards, or food safety concerns.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while adhering to scheduled work hours.
- Work collaboratively with the Food Services team and be open to coaching and ongoing learning.
Qualifications
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with bending, reaching, climbing, stooping, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to interact respectfully with students, staff, and visitors from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.
- Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and shifts throughout the calendar year.
