Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them during their shopping experience
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and security
- Provide product information and perform product demos when necessary
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the checkout area is clean and welcoming
- Address customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Follow company policies for cash handling, security, and customer privacy
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service roles
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Knowledge of POS systems and retail merchandising techniques
- Ability to perform product demos and technical sales when applicable
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone or online
- Upselling skills to promote products effectively without being pushy
- Multilingual abilities to serve a diverse clientele are advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
