Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Hand to join our construction management team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations on-site, supervising team members, and ensuring project standards are met efficiently and safely. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction crews to ensure timely completion of projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide on-site work
- Oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the construction process
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections on-site
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth communication and project flow
- Monitor progress and report on project status, addressing issues proactively
Skills
- Proven experience supervising construction teams with strong leadership capabilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction estimating documents
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of construction schematics and technical drawings is highly desirable
