Taylight Brewing is a community-focused craft brewery in Port Coquitlam that prides itself on great beer, great food, and creating a welcoming experience for our guests.
We're looking for a reliable and motivated Food Truck Cook to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, can stay organized during busy periods, and takes pride in producing quality food quickly and consistently.
Our food truck serves brewery guests and receives orders directly from our tasting room. You'll be preparing and cooking menu items, managing your station, and helping ensure guests receive their food promptly and accurately.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking menu items, including burgers, wings, fries, onion rings, and other food truck offerings
- Managing incoming orders from the brewery POS system
- Prioritizing and executing multiple orders efficiently during busy service periods
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace throughout your shift
- Monitoring food levels and communicating inventory needs to management
- Completing opening, closing, and daily cleaning tasks
- Following all food safety and sanitation standards
- Working independently during quieter periods and alongside teammates during peak service times
- Contributing to a positive and professional team environment
What We're Looking For
Required
- Valid FoodSafe Level 1 Certification
- Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
Assets
- Previous kitchen, food truck, restaurant, or fast-casual cooking experience
- Experience operating fryers and flat-top grills
- Experience working in a fast-paced service environment
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude

Taylight is in a remote location with very minimal transit, recommended having a car or a ride to come to the brewery.
