Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Kitchen Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience installing stainless steel equipment, shelving, tables, and other custom metal products in commercial kitchen environments. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
- Install stainless steel shelves, tables, counters, hoods, and other kitchen equipment according to project specifications and drawings.
- Use hand tools and power tools (drills, saws, levels, caulking guns, etc.) proficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and installation instructions accurately.
- Collaborate with clients, general contractors, and the lead installer on-site to ensure project requirements are met.
- Perform quality inspections, troubleshooting, and minor adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites and in the shop.
- Assist in the shop when required (material handling, loading/unloading trucks, equipment maintenance, etc.).
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience installing commercial kitchen equipment or similar construction/installation work (preferred).
- Strong proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of caulking, sealing, minor welding, painting/touch-ups, and general construction practices is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and workplace cleanliness.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in demanding environments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is preferred.
