We are seeking a motivated, passionate, and experienced Resident Care Manager (RCM) to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Resident Care Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of the home, supporting interdisciplinary teams, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

What You'll Do:
As a member of the Chancellor Park leadership team, the successful candidate will:
- Provide leadership and oversight for the day-to-day clinical operations of the home;
- Foster a culture of resident-centered care, quality improvement, accountability, and professional excellence;
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care;
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, accreditation standards, professional practice standards, and organizational policies;
- Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental goals and objectives aligned with the organization's strategic priorities;
- Support, coach, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and frontline staff;
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives;
- Investigate and respond to resident, family, employee, and operational concerns as required;
- Promote evidence-based practice and support ongoing staff education and professional development;
- Monitor clinical indicators, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead quality improvement initiatives;
- Support incident management, risk mitigation, workplace safety, and infection prevention and control efforts;
- Promote effective communication and collaboration across all departments;
- Ensure the efficient utilization of resources while maintaining high standards of resident care;
- Represent Chancellor Park's mission, vision, values, and philosophy in all interactions with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
Hours of Work:
This is a full-time management position.
Hours of work will be determined based on operational requirements. Flexibility is required to support the needs of a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week healthcare environment, including participation in an on-call rotation as required.
Who You Are:
We're seeking a dynamic healthcare leader who is passionate about resident care, team development, and operational excellence. Qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BN) or approved equivalent;
- Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL);
- Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in geriatric or continuing care settings;
- Previous leadership or management experience in healthcare, preferably within long-term care;
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and performance management;
- Working knowledge of the RAI-MDS 2.0 process;
- Understanding of accreditation standards, professional practice requirements, and applicable legislation;
- Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems;
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills;
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities;
- Exceptional interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills;
- Ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
- Commitment to ethical leadership, resident advocacy, and continuous quality improvement;
- Satisfactory attendance and performance record;
- Certificate of Good Conduct, including Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Medical Certificate including evidence of TB testing and immunizations.
