The Position:
Lorac Construction Ltd. is currently seeking highly motivated and reliable Site Supervisors and working journeyman carpenters with commercial construction experience. Our sites are located throughout Edmonton as well as the immediate surrounding areas. Please reply to this ad with your resume and cover letter.

· Must have a minimum three (3) years of progressive site supervision experience in commercial construction, able to provide a security clearance and complete pre work fitness to work/Pre-Access A&D screening
· Must own small tools
· Must have own transportation with a valid driver’s license
· Anticipated start date: As soon as possible
To be successful in this position, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
· Progressive experience construction site supervision of subtrades and crews, Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certificate or equivalent
· Ability to teach/train/mentor apprentices
· Ability to run mid-large sized crew jobs in commercial construction environments is an asset
· Ability to use general construction tools and equipment
· Ability to read and understand blueprints
· Concrete and forming experience an asset
· Wood framing experience an asset
· Door and hardware experience an asset
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to organize, direct and control on-site construction
· Working well with a team of co-workers and subcontractors
· Ensuring safety procedures are being followed and in place. 1st Aid Training and relevant supervisory training/certificates
· Ability to oversee day-to-day field activities as required.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Utilize blueprint reading skills to interpret project plans and layouts accurately.
- Oversee concrete forming activities, ensuring precise measurements and proper installation.
- Manage commercial construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of carpenters and construction workers.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37.00-$48.00 per hour
