Welder / Fitter – MCAW / Metalcore

About the Role
We are seeking experienced Welders / Fitters to join a heavy industrial manufacturing environment fabricating large engineered equipment. This role involves fitting and welding heavy structural steel assemblies using majority MCAW/Metal-core and some FCAW/Flux-core processes .
Responsibilities
- Fit and weld heavy-gauge steel assemblies using MCAW (Metalcore)
- Perform multi-pass welding on 1"–2" thick plate
- Work with wire sizes including .035, .045, .052 and 1/16" etc.
- Perform pre-heating, interpass temperature control, and air-carbon arc gouging
- Produce welds capable of passing UT and RT (X-ray) inspections
Requirements
- Active or recently held CWB MCAW certification
- FCAW Fluxcore experience and certification is an asset.
- Experience with heavy plate fabrication and multi-pass welding
- Strong blueprint reading and fitting skills
- Background in heavy equipment, structural steel, or industrial manufacturing preferred
