Power Measurement Technologies Inc. located in Markham, Ontario, design and manufacture precision test and measurement instrumentation for the electrical power industry. Our customers are typically comprised of electrical utilities and manufacturers of electrical apparatus.
We are currently seeking an Electronics Assembler to perform a variety of manufacturing duties to build high-quality electronic instruments.
The role focuses heavily on the following core assembly skills:
Responsibilities:
- Surface Mount Soldering — Precise assembly and soldering of surface-mount components on PCBs
- Thru-Hole Soldering — Accurate through-hole component assembly and soldering
- Cable Harness Assembly — Fabrication and assembly of cable harnesses
- Instrument Chassis Wiring — Wiring of instrument chassis according to diagrams and specifications
- Wire Crimping — Professional wire preparation and crimping operations
- Light Electro-Mechanical Assembly — Assembly of light electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and final products
- Other duties as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in surface mount soldering
- Excellent thru-hole soldering skills
- Demonstrated experience with cable harness assembly
- Ability to perform instrument chassis wiring
- Competence in wire crimping
- Aptitude for light electro-mechanical assembly
- Good English verbal communication skills — Clear, professional verbal communication in English is essential
- Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and technical instructions
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Post Secondary degree/diploma from an accredited University or College
