Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply & Demand Planning, the Production Planner - Brampton will be responsible for create, manage, and maintain the daily production plan for all Brampton fresh production. In addition, this position will liaise with Operations, Sales, Logistics, and QA to optimize production capacity, raw material supply and commodity market returns. This is an existing position in the company.
Shift: Monday - Friday - 6 am - 2 pm.
This is a hybrid position (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).

What you will be doing:
Collaborate with peers to create, manage, and maintain the daily production plan of 250K-300K fresh inventory daily at Brampton.
a. Download data from various internal systems to create and maintain a robust daily production plan in complex Excel tools for 200 SKUs.
b. Create and publish a synchronized and completed daily item production plan in ERP and Excel by 5:30 am each morning.
c. Manage portfolio of fresh products with total average shelf life of 10 days.
d. Prioritize production to optimize capacity, inventory to achieve 99%+ customer service levels.
2. Liaise with Operations, Sales, Logistics, QA and Mississauga to optimize production capacity and raw material supply.
a. Based on incoming raw material, capacity, and sales orders, calculate daily residual commodity prediction to enable Sales to maximize margins.
b. Collaborate with Commodity Sales team to optimize commodity market returns.
c. Maintain ongoing communication with all cross-functional teams to continually adapt and achieve operational excellence (e.g. customer add-ons, plant breakdowns).
3. Provide data, reporting, and analysis
a. Create and publish a daily performance report to key decision-makers by 7:30am (includes customer shorts, commodity availability and plan vs actual bird count metrics).
b. Analyze raw material supply, production capacity constraints, logistics lead-times, customer order requirements, and target inventory levels.
c. Collaborate with Senior Manager to continuously improve planning tools and processes.
4. Collaborate with the Mississauga team
a. Manage production and logistics at Brampton to enable execution of transfers to Mississauga.
b. Plan appropriate and timely raw material transfers from Brampton to enable efficient production at Mississauga plant.
c. Optimize network planning for Costco tray pack requirements across Brampton and Mississauga plants
What you will bring:
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a planning/operations/supply chain position
- Knowledge of manufacturing/production processes, preferably in the protein industry
- Advanced Excel skills, strong general MS Office skills
- Ability to solve complex problems in a time-constrained environment
- Prefer candidates with experience in ERP/planning software (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft AX, D365)
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS;
- Post-secondary education
