Job Overview
We are seeking vigilant and personable Event/Festival Security personnel to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at various events and festivals. This role requires a professional presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment while providing exceptional guest services, contributing to a positive experience for all attendees.
Duties
- Monitor event areas to prevent unauthorized access and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Assist guests with directions, information, and hospitality needs in a courteous manner
- Enforce event policies and manage crowd control effectively
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, coordinating with event staff and emergency services as needed
- Conduct security checks at entry points, including bag inspections if required
- Collaborate with event organizers to uphold safety standards and facilitate smooth operations
- Use effective upselling and negotiation skills to promote event amenities or upgrades when appropriate
- Maintain clear communication with team members using radios or other devices
- Ensure organizational procedures are followed for incident reporting and documentation
Experience
- Prior experience in security, guest services, hospitality, or related fields such as restaurant or hotel experience is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with guests and team members confidently
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, managing guest needs while maintaining security standards
