Based in Ottawa's Westboro neighbourhood, WebMarketers is a growing team of approximately 35 professionals helping small and medium-sized businesses across Canada generate more leads, sales, and revenue through strategic digital marketing, website development, video production, and AI-powered solutions.
About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of recurring clients, acting as their primary point of contact and strategic advisor. Your responsibility is to ensure every client receives exceptional service, understands the value of our work, and has a clear roadmap for continued business growth.
Success in this role means building trusted relationships to retain MRR, maintaining regular communication, interpreting campaign performance to find meaningful business insights, and proactively recommending strategies and services that help clients achieve even better results.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned portfolio of recurring client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all strategic and day-to-day communications.
- Build strong, long-term relationships founded on trust, responsiveness, and a deep understanding of each client's business objectives.
- Conduct regular client meetings to review performance, explain results, discuss market trends, and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
- Translate marketing data into clear business insights that clients can easily understand and act upon.
- Develop strategic recommendations that help clients improve lead generation, sales performance, brand awareness, and return on investment.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand client success through additional services, campaigns, website enhancements, creative assets, AI solutions, or increased marketing investment where appropriate.
- Coordinate with internal marketing specialists to ensure timely delivery of tasks, investigation of potential issues, and resolution where required
- Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns before they become issues.
- Ensure client priorities are clearly communicated internally and that deliverables consistently align with business goals.
- Lead onboarding for new clients, establishing expectations, communication cadence, success metrics, and strategic priorities.
- Prepare and present semi-annual business reviews that highlight achievements, opportunities, competitive insights, and future recommendations.
- Maintain accurate account documentation, meeting notes, action items, and project timelines.
- Serve as the client's advocate within WebMarketers while balancing agency resources and priorities.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in account management, client success, or a similar client-facing role.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand client goals and translate them into strategic recommendations.
- Confidence presenting performance updates and facilitating productive client meetings.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
- Experience with AdWords, Meta Ads, and other paid and organic marketing channels to be able to have productive conversations with clients
- Comfortable interpreting marketing reports and explaining performance in business terms
- Experience working within an agency environment is considered an asset.
- Comfortable learning and leveraging AI tools to improve client service, productivity, and strategic recommendations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
