Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Helper for the Woodworking Finishing Room to support our manufacturing team in efficiently producing high-quality products. This role is vital for maintaining smooth operations within the finishing process, ensuring safety, precision, and adherence to production standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with manufacturing tools, and a proactive attitude toward teamwork and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist with finishing the products, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
- Operate hand tools (eg. sander), power tools, and basic machining equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimise workflow and reduce waste.
- Assist with sanding, putting and staining, or repairs as needed under supervision.
- Use basic math skills for measurements, part calculations, and quality checks.
- Support the team in adhering to safety protocols during all operations.
