The Granite Club is looking for a full time Head Squash Professional to oversee the Squash Program and implement policies and procedures as agreed to by the Squash Committee and approved by the Director of Athletics.To promote the game of squash to the Club membership by providing squash programming for all levels, ages, and abilities, running tournaments, coaching teams, teaching lessons and clinics and ensuring a balance of competitive and social interaction opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide quality programs as required and to teach or have qualified certified, staff teach these programs as agreed upon with the Director of Racquets.
- To ensure all contractors renew their contract annually with proof of insurance, police background check and CAS sign-offs working with Athletics Manager.
- Coordinate and administer league play, ladders, round robins, club championships and tournaments as agreed to with the Director Athletics.
- Work with the Director of Racquets and Assistant Squash Professional in carrying out the administrative functions of the Section.
- Assist with the promotion of all section programs and activities.
- Responsible for training, supervision and performance of other squash staff relating to the Squash program.
- Work with the Director of Racquets to identify budget requirements and to be accountable for the management of the section budget.
- Attend meetings initiated by the officers of the Section Committee. Giving guidance, support and direction to the committee and causing to be carried out mutually agreed upon procedures.
- Assist the Social Chairman in planning social events. To attend and assist with social functions as required.
- To ensure Club rules pertaining to dress, eye protection, court usage, etc. are enforced.
- Foster and maintain good relations between all staff members and departments and members.
- Prepare, where required, all necessary reports, submissions and other administrative items as requested by management or the Squash Committee.
- Work with the Club’s Property Department to ensure the squash courts and facilities are in good condition.
- Monitor all Granite News deadlines and articles from Athletics Manager and to generate appropriate contributions ensuring promotion of the program.
- Responsible for the development of the facilities, program and events schedule, in cooperation with the section committee and Director of Racquets.
- Maintain a high level of communications with other clubs and the sport governing bodies.
- To ensure that all trophies for events are ordered, engraved and maintained as well as updating any section recognition boards.
- To provide a written annual report to management on all activities of the Squash Section.
- To work with the Director of Racquets to ensure safe facilities and a safe environment.
Required Qualifications
- Squash Canada Level III Certification (or equivalent).
- Excellent communications, public relations, and organizational skills.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Excellent oral and written English.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. This role is eligible for commissions based on terms and conditions.
