The successful candidate will support the maintenance division by completing lawn and landscape maintenance tasks, servicing gardens, identifying site issues, and helping ensure properties are maintained to a high professional standard.
This is more than a basic technician role. We are looking for someone who can work independently, take pride in the details, communicate professionally, and help support the team in the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
- Complete garden maintenance, including weeding, planting, mulching, fertilizing, pruning, and general bed cleanup.
- Maintain commercial, condominium, and residential properties to a clean, professional standard.
- Trim and prune shrubs, hedges, small trees, and landscape features to support healthy growth and visual appeal.
- Proficient and confident driving a truck and trailer, including safely loading, securing, transporting, backing up, and maneuvering equipment between job sites.
- Follow assigned routes and complete tasks independently when required.
- Help direct daily site tasks and support other crew members in completing work efficiently and properly.
- Support quality control by ensuring sites are completed to company standards before leaving the property.
- Proficient with Google Workspace tools, including Google Forms, Sheets, and Drive, with the ability to complete digital reports, submit site updates, track issues, and document work accurately.
- Identify and report property issues, damage risks, client concerns, deficiencies, or extra work opportunities.
- Take photos and provide updates when needed to support communication with management.
- Safely operate power mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools, and other landscape equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic checks on tools and equipment.
- Assist with hardscape, landscape, or seasonal projects when required.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a professional attitude on client properties.
- Support winter maintenance operations if available, including snow and ice management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional lawn and landscape maintenance experience preferred.
- Commercial or condominium property maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience leading a crew, supporting team members, or managing daily site tasks is an asset.
- Experience with garden maintenance, planting, pruning, mulching, fertilizing, and weed control is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable operating lawn maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in property appearance.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned sites.
- Ability to support and guide other crew members in the field.
- Good communication skills and willingness to report issues clearly.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to care for tools and equipment.
- Physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
- Year-round availability is an asset, as winter maintenance opportunities may be available.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and takes pride in high-quality outdoor work. They understand that landscape maintenance is not just about cutting grass — it includes gardens, curb appeal, client satisfaction, safety, and noticing the little things before they become bigger problems.
We are looking for someone who can be trusted on site, represent the company professionally, support other crew members, and help keep our maintenance work running smoothly.
