Duties include: Assisting individuals with daily life skills, social skills and /or behaviour management. Teach and assist individuals with activities such as grooming, recreational activities, physical activities, basic cooking, money management, shopping, and household safety. Ensures the safety of the individuals.
Requirements: First aid certificate, criminal record check, driver’s abstract, Dr. note of fitness for work. Preference to applicants with certification in the human services field and/or experience working with people with developmental disabilities but willing to train the right people.
Must have valid Class 5 Driver's license and own vehicle in good working condition.
This position is for a part-time and on-call community support worker. The hours range from 4-24, with the opportunity to pick up shifts. The right applicant is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8 and 5.
