Axe Living is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Designer to join our growing Design Team. This role will support the development and coordination of residential and modular building projects from early design through permit and production.
We are looking for someone who is collaborative, organized, technically strong in Revit, and excited to contribute to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop Revit models for, permit drawings, construction packages.
- Assist with production drawings and drawing coordination across departments
- Coordinate with engineering consultants, permit authorities, and internal teams
- Support building permit submissions and revisions
- Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and Ontario Building Code compliance
- Assist with maintaining and improving internal drafting standards and processes
- Collaborate with the Production Team to support manufacturing and construction requirements
- Participate in design meetings and project coordination discussions
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, MWF Wood Pro a bonus, and Bluebeam.
- Experience producing permit, construction, and production drawings.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and detailing
- Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code, both Part 3 and Part 9.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- BCIN qualification considered an asset
- Experience in modular, prefabricated, or production housing considered an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
