Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and industrial equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and machinery, including cars, trucks, excavators, cranes, and farm equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and system tune-ups
- Repair or replace mechanical components, electrical systems, and hydraulic parts as needed
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, or industrial machinery safely and efficiently
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex systems
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards
- Assist customers by explaining repairs needed and providing excellent customer service
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic; dealership experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems and heavy industrial equipment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Electrical experience and familiarity with schematics are highly desirable
- Knowledge of HVAC systems or industrial equipment maintenance is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with strong customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; experience operating heavy equipment is preferred
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
