Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSWs) to provide high-quality care in a home. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting with daily activities, medication management, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Flexibility in scheduling and a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life are essential.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: assistance in bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming
- Mobility Assistance: identifying and preventing fall risks, ensuring items are within reach
- Experience with power sit to stand lifts
- Activities of Daily Living: companionship, meal preparation and socialization
- Housekeeping: vacuuming floors, general cleaning as needed, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and laundry
- Managing building services such as mail, receiving packages and recycling
- House management: organization, food, cleaning and personal care, supplies restocking.
- Medication assistance as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with mobility challenges
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is an asset
- Previous caregiving experience demonstrating compassion, patience, and professionalism is essential
- Familiarity with cleaning routines and meal preparation is beneficial
