About the Role
We are looking for reliable and experienced Long-Haul Truck Drivers to join our growing transportation team. This position involves cross-Canada hauls and occasional cross-border trips to the U.S. The ideal candidate is a safety-minded professional with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate long-haul routes across Canada (and the U.S. when required) to deliver freight on time.
- Follow dispatch instructions, schedules, and designated routes.
- Communicate promptly with dispatch in case of route changes, delays, or unexpected issues.
- Work closely with a co-driver to complete assigned trips efficiently.
- Update shipment status and upload delivery documents using the company’s Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure proper maintenance.
- Comply with all traffic regulations, Hours of Service rules, and company safety policies.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (or Class A) Commercial Driver’s Licence with Air Brake endorsement.
- Experience driving 53-foot trailers preferred.
- FAST card, valid U.S. visa, or clean customs record considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written). Bilingual skills in English and Chinese are highly valued assets.
- Strong teamwork skills; able to coordinate effectively with a co-driver.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to travel across provinces and cross-border.
- Good knowledge of Canadian highway systems.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Physically fit to handle long driving hours and occasional loading/unloading.
