Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse distribution activities, operating equipment, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. This role operates within a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Operative will play a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, packaging, and restocking
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Assist with order picking, packing, and order fulfillment processes to ensure accurate and timely shipments
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Assist in warehouse organization, including stacking, storage, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Including some heavy lifting and material handling
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, is an asset but not necessary
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and order picking processes
- Experience with order packaging, and load & unload operations
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Relevant certifications for forklift operation are preferred but not mandatory
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
Pay: From $38,000.00 per year
