Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily dental activities. Experience with dental software such as Abeldent , as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using Abeldent dental software systems
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist when needed
- Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and explaining procedures in an age-appropriate manner
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, supplies, and patient interactions using medical terminology
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting from an accredited program
- Prior experience working with Abeldent dental software systems is preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with CAD imaging technology is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting is highly desirable

Pay: $18.00-$27.00 per hour
