Job Title: IT Quality Assurance Specialist II

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Quality Assurance Specialist II to join an agile team. This role is responsible for ensuring software quality through exploratory and automated testing, defect analysis, release validation, and collaboration with developers and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality technology solutions.
What's the Job?
- Review user stories to identify test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and coverage requirements.
- Validate business-critical workflows across user interface, API, application, and database layers.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Perform REST API testing and backend data validation using SQL or similar query tools.
- Support release validation, deployment verification, and post-production smoke testing.
- Identify, document, track, and support the resolution of software defects with clear reproduction steps and impact assessments.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to improve product quality.
- Maintain and enhance automated testing frameworks, scripts, and regression test suites.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
What's Needed?
- 3–7 years of experience in Information Technology Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and automated test maintenance.
- Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing methodologies.
- Experience testing and validating REST APIs.
- Proficiency in SQL or similar query tools for backend and database validation.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, GitHub, or similar platforms.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
