Job Summary
We are hiring a Junior Java Developer with two to three years of professional software-development experience.
This is primarily a backend development position. The successful candidate must have strong Java fundamentals and practical experience developing Java applications using Spring Boot.
As a Junior Developer, you will work alongside experienced engineers, learn best practices, contribute to development tasks, and gain hands-on exposure to building scalable, high-performance applications. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Implement REST APIs and application business logic.
- Work with relational databases and write SQL queries.
- Use Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA and Hibernate.
- Write unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Debug defects and investigate application issues.
- Work with Git and established development workflows.
- Complete assigned tasks reliably and communicate blockers promptly.
- Perform limited frontend development when required.
Skills
- Two or more years of professional software-development experience.
- At least two years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Practical professional experience using Spring Boot.
- Experience developing REST APIs.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to AWS, Docker, Redis, GraphQL or CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
