Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Decorator to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our spaces and create inviting environments for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of design, excellent communication skills, and experience in hospitality or restaurant settings. This role involves collaborating with clients and team members to develop creative decorating solutions that align with brand standards and client expectations. The Decorator will play a key role in elevating guest experiences through thoughtful and innovative decor arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat visits.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement decorating concepts that align with client preferences, brand standards, and current design trends
- Coordinate with management and clients to understand their vision and requirements for each project or event
- Select appropriate decor items, color schemes, furniture, and accessories to create cohesive themes
- Manage decorating projects from conception through execution, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality decor materials and furnishings
- Maintain organization of decorating supplies, tools, and inventory for efficient workflow
- Ensure all decorating activities adhere to safety standards and company policies
- Provide exceptional guest services by assisting guests with decor-related inquiries or requests when applicable
Skills
- Strong background in marketing, hospitality, or restaurant/hotel experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell decor options or enhancements effectively
- Skilled in negotiation to secure favorable terms with vendors and suppliers
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, and vendors
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Effective time management to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Budgeting experience to plan decor projects within financial parameters
- Creative flair combined with a keen eye for detail in design execution
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing client needs and project scopes
- Proven experience in guest services or hospitality environments is a plus
