Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support to residents, promote their well-being, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document residents’ health status, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, promoting a person-centered approach to care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and BC health regulations.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Health Care Aide in British Columbia (Registration with BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry)
- Valid Food Safety certificate
- Valid CPR or First Aide certificate
- Previous experience in long-term care or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
