Role Description The Server role at Kotori Authentic Japanese Restaurant is a full-time, on-site position based in Aurora, ON.
The Server is responsible for greeting guests, explaining menu items, taking orders accurately, and serving food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner. Daily tasks include setting and clearing tables, processing payments, answering guest questions, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. The Server also maintains cleanliness in the dining area, follows food safety and health guidelines, and supports team members during busy periods. This role involves working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs. Qualifications Candidate should possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members. Candidate should possess time management and multitasking abilities, including handling multiple tables, orders, and requests in a fast-paced environment. Candidate should possess basic math and cash- handling skills for processing payments and managing bills accurately. Candidate should possess attention to detail and a focus on cleanliness, ensuring tables, service stations, and dining areas meet restaurant standards.
Previous serving or restaurant experience is beneficial; familiarity with Japanese cuisine or willingness to learn menu items is an asset. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays or dishes safely, and follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are an advantage for supporting diverse guests.
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
