As a school bus driver, you will be responsible for operating Squiala Elementary and Secondary School buses, transporting students to and from school and related events and ensuring the bus is maintained and operated in a safe and hygienic condition. Bus drivers are the first and last member of our school team that students interact with, and as such it is important that they demonstrate safe and caring attention to our students.
Who are we looking for?

You are friendly, calm and safety-oriented.

You have the ability to remain attentive when faced with distractions.

You have either a class 4 or class 2 driver's license.

You are knowledgeable about BC Legislation regarding the laws and regulations that apply to the operation of commercial vehicles such as the Highway Traffic Act, Motor Vehicle Act Regulations and National Safety Code.

You have a minimum 2 years safe driving experience and clean driver's abstract.
Squiala First Nation pays competitively with SD33 and is happy to provide its staff with a pension plan and benefits program after a three month probationary period.
