Position Overview
The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining information in our databases and digital systems. This role supports program operations by ensuring that data is organized, complete, and reliable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with digital tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update client, volunteer, program, or outreach data into internal databases and spreadsheets
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness before input
- Maintain organized records and filing systems (digital and/or paper)
- Perform data cleanup, verify information, and correct errors when needed
- Generate simple reports or summaries as requested
- Assist with scanning, uploading, and managing electronic files
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Support administrative tasks as needed (email sorting, document preparation, logging information)
Requirements / Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Workspace, or similar)
- Comfortable working with data, numbers, and digital forms
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Previous data entry experience is an asset but not required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy policies
Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs 8 Weeks prgram)
To be eligible for this position, applicants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person who has been granted refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Pay: $15.90 per hour
