Job Overview
We are looking for a Night bartender to provide exceptional and efficient service to customers and the serving staff for the pub. Experience is required but a bartending course is not necessary. This role will require a person with an understanding of the current Liquor laws and to be able to lead the team in making sure all customer service and laws are met while still providing an enjoyable and safe pub experience for everyone. This person will also be in charge of over seeing serving staff and any issues that may arise if no other manager/owner is present. This is a nights and weekends position. Must have Serving it Right in BC
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately using POS systems.
- Greet guests promptly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with precision and accountability
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment for all patrons
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages
- Handle food service responsibilities when required, including serving menu items and take out orders.
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
- Follow all food handling procedures, liquor laws and safety protocols to ensure a safe experience for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous bartending and service experience is necessary.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Pixel Point
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs accurately as well as Lottery, lotto certification is provided on site for you.
- Knowledge of liquor laws and food safety regulations and proper procedures.
- Experience in hospitality environments demonstrating excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- No previous management experience necessary as this is not a manager position

Pay: $18.25-$19.25 per hour
