Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse/Lumberyard Associate to join our team. This role involves managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and supporting the efficient flow of materials within our warehouse and lumberyard. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and equipment operation. Responsibilities
- Assist with warehouse distribution, shipping, and receiving processes
- Pick and prepare orders accurately for delivery or storage
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Support construction-related tasks as needed within the lumberyard
- Ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or lumberyard environment preferred
- Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management systems
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and load/unload tasks
- Knowledge of construction materials and lumber products is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols
- Valid certification or licensing for forklift or crane operation is desirable but not mandatory
