Job summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder Operator to join our team and operate advanced CNC Grinding machines for producing precision carbide cutting tools. This role focuses on machine operation, setup, and maintenance in a high-tech environment dedicated to quality and efficiency. All housed within the climate controlled Zedaro Grinding Lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC grinding machines, including setup, loading parts, verifying settings, and running programs to produce precision cutting tools.
- Maintain CNC machines according to established procedures to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during machining operations.
- Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Other general shop duties as required
Required Abilities and Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating ANCA CNC grinding machines with a focus on 5-axis machining techniques. ANCA MX7 experience an asset
- Experience with Fanuc control systems
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings in both Imperial and Metric units
- Primarily work with carbide, selecting appropriate wheels and speeds for optimal finish and tool life
- Ability to use measuring tools, micrometers, calipers, etc., to ensure parts meet specification
- Perform routine machine maintenance and wheel dressing to ensure consistent accuracy
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in precision cutting tool manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
