Responsibilities
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling ingredients, or organizing supplies under supervision.
- Support the kitchen staff by maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping floors and disposing of waste properly.
- Help with setting up workstations for meal service and breaking down stations after service hours.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, cleaning chemicals, and equipment operation to ensure a safe workspace.
- Assist with basic food service duties when needed, including delivering items to the serving area or assisting with meal plating.
- Maintain a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food safety standards is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items or bending.
