Position: Fulltime (Required Immediately)
Seeking a Certified Journeyman Millwright or Journeyman HD Technician to assume the role/responsibilities of Shop Manager to join our team. Our business is overhauling oilfield equipment, specific to the land drilling business. Candidate must have excellent mechanical knowledge of land drilling rig equipment.
Job Description/Duties:
· Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have shop manager/crew manager experience.
- Must have excellent knowledge of Drilling Rigs and the overall operating systems.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be good with customer relations.
- Must be organized with workflow and time management.
- Must be good at prioritizing multiple jobs at one time by required dates.
- Must have good knowledge of parts and parts purchasing.
- Knowledge of Quotes/Quoting Jobs.
· Reading and interpret blueprints and schematics related to rotating equipment and their systems
· Dismantle/Assemble equipment for repair or recertification
· Move equipment using overhead cranes, forklift and loader
· Must have a good selection of tools (Specialty tools provided)
Required Skills:
· Be Familiar with Measuring Tools, Pumps/Motors, Engines and overall Drilling Rig Equipment.
· Be familiar w/Hydraulics in general
- Manage different types of people, personalities and scheduling issues.
- Organization and time management.
Would Be Considered An Asset:
· Knowledge of Electrical Systems
· Hydraulic Systems
· Knowledge for Alignments and use of pulling gear for large hubs/sprockets
- Welding Experience
- Job Costs/Costing
Required Safety Tickets: First Aid, H2S, CSO, TDG and WHMIS
