What We’re Looking For
aodbt is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Contract Administrator to join our Saskatoon office. This position works closely with the design team, subconsultants, clients, and contractors to administer contracts and oversee project activities from start-up through completion.
The ideal candidate for this position is a seasoned construction professional with technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to provide leadership and guidance throughout the construction process. You are self-motivated, organized, and committed to delivering successful projects while building positive relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams.
Skills & Qualifications
· 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction contract administration, construction coordination, or a related field
· Experience in Saskatchewan and local construction is an asset
· Degree, Diploma, or equivalent experience in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
· Strong understanding of building codes, building science, and construction methods
· Demonstrated experience with procurement, CCDC contracts, contract administration, and change management
· Experience conducting site reviews and preparing construction documentation
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction management software
· Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
· Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance while working collaboratively with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams
· Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) designation through Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) is an asset
· Valid Saskatchewan driver's licence and the ability to travel to project sites across Western Canada
Key Responsibilities
· Administer construction contracts from tender through project close-out, maintaining compliance with contract requirements and project objectives.
· Coordinate communication between clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders, including participation in construction meetings throughout the project.
· Conduct site reviews and prepare construction progress reports.
· Review and process contract documentation, change management, and progress payments applications.
· Monitor project schedules, budgets, and risks, reporting potential impacts to the project team and client.
· Provide technical input and collaborate with project teams to resolve construction issues, conflicts, and contract-related matters.
· Coordinate project close-out activities, including deficiencies and substantial performance documentation
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract administration practices and provide mentorship to junior team members.
