Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and hospitality-driven Front Desk Agent to join our team at Best Western. As the face of our hotel, you will play a crucial role in delivering the "World's Largest Hotel Family" experience by providing exceptional service to our guests from check-in to check-out. The ideal candidate will be an organized multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a genuine passion for guest satisfaction. Whether handling reservations or coordinating with housekeeping, you will ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and comfortable stay.
Duties
- Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently, and provide a high level of personalized customer service.
- Reservations & Communication: Manage the hotel’s multi-line phone system, handle room bookings, and provide accurate information regarding rates, amenities, and local attractions.
- Financial Accuracy: Process guest payments, authorize credit cards, and perform daily front desk accounting tasks with precision.
- Operational Support: Coordinate with the housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure room readiness and resolve guest requests promptly.
- Problem Resolution: Address guest concerns or issues with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a positive resolution.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain organized guest records, handle mail/deliveries, and perform accurate data entry within the Property Management System (PMS).
- Safety & Presentation: Maintain a tidy and welcoming lobby area and adhere to all safety and security protocols to protect guests and hotel property.
Skills
- Hospitality Mindset: Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, "can-do" attitude.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills; experience with Hotel Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera or Visual Matrix) is highly desirable.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
- Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail during busy shifts.
- Flexibility: Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Problem Solving: Quick thinking and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Basic Math: Proficiency in handling cash and processing financial transactions accurately.
