We are currently looking for a bright and ambitious Materials co-ordinator to join our growing team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the materials co-ordinator will support the production of our material handling and robotic systems through the use of strategic procurement, material requirements planning and logistics. Additional duties include production scheduling, implementing and maintaining 5S initiatives, continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, production support, and parts and service sales/co-ordination.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, being a technician or technologist, have previous industrial experience in either an assembly or manufacturing environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Requirements:
- Creation and Verification of BOM's in MRP
- Interaction with vendors to obtain component quotations and specifications
- Purchasing of Mechanical and Electrical items according to project requirements
- Review and Selection of items required to complete assembly projects including hardware and consumables
- Creation of Shipping Documents for external processing and system deliveries
- Critical item Inventory development, tracking and analysis (5S)
- Interaction with Engineering and Shop personnel during all phases of project
- Co-ordination of Spare Part sales and delivery
- Daily co-ordination with the Engineering, Automation and Management personnel regarding projects when required
- Design of Jigs and Fixtures to support manufacturing
Skills Required:
- Experience with Solidworks or similar 3D modeling software
- Experience with AutoCad
- Experience with Microsoft office products including excel, outlook
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and materials
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail
- Valid drivers liscence with reliable transportation
- Experience with MRP/ERP considered an asset
