Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our Logging team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy machinery, primarily excavators, to facilitate a variety of Bush road construction , Reclaiming , brush pile .
Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders,
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Execute precise digging, trenching, lifting, and material movement tasks according to project specifications.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of logging sites by positioning equipment and preparing work zones.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate activities and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and logging site procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Support other construction activities such as dozer work, loader operation, backhoe tasks, grader operation, as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and operational logs for project documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators in a logging environment with a solid understanding of heavy equipment operation principles.
- Familiarity with various logging machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders,
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues and perform routine maintenance on heavy machinery.
- Prior experience working on logging sites with knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
