We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Teacher to join our dynamic international education team. About the Role
As an EAP Teacher, you will deliver high-quality English language instruction to international students preparing for undergraduate and postgraduate study. You will contribute to curriculum development, assessment design, and student support while maintaining the highest standards of academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective EAP instruction to international students.
- Design, plan, and deliver lessons aligned with programme learning outcomes.
- Prepare, administer, mark, and provide feedback on formative and summative assessments in accordance with published syllabi.
- Support students in developing the academic language and study skills required for higher education.
- Contribute to curriculum review and qualification development.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality student experience.
- Participate in programme meetings, staff development activities, and quality assurance processes.
- Integrate Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) effectively into teaching and learning.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following:
- DELTA
- DipTESOL
- MA TESOL
- MA Applied Linguistics (with an ELT focus)
- Trinity qualification
- MA Education (with a TESOL specialism)
- PhD in Applied Linguistics (accompanied by a recognised teaching qualification)
In addition, candidates must have:
- A minimum of two years’ experience teaching English as a second language.
- Direct experience within higher education in an international context.
- Experience delivering curricula aligned with UK, Canadian, or US higher education academic conventions and assessment practices.
