We are currently looking for a Category Administrative Assistant to join Georgia Main Food Group Limited and its banners: IGA and Fresh St. Market for a full-time 12-month contract position to cover maternity leave. Future opportunities may be available after that term.
Scope of Authority
This position reports to the Manager, Pricing and Systems Support. You will be involved in the input and administration of:
· Planograms, development, and implementation
· New listings, discontinuation, or replenishment (rationalizing SKUs)
· Retail pricing, and promotions

Breadth of Responsibilities
· List new products by entering information into the company Listing Base and emailing new product information to the sales representatives
· Continuously review financial targets throughout the year and adjust strategy as needed
· Communicate product mix changes to cross-functional partners
· Liaise with the Manager, Food Safety to ensure product quality and vendor adherence to production standards
· Conduct data entry for deal sheets and ads, develop ad themes (including sourcing photo samples), and proof worksheets and flyers
· Plan and communicate programs to vital cross-functional partners and supervise execution at the store level
· Collaborate with suppliers on programs, seasonal contests, display incentives for stores (as advertised in the flyer), and strategic launch plans for new products
· Lead some aspects of store ordering including identifying shortages and discrepancies, validating costing, adjusting product bookings before submitting to customer service, following up on store bookings, communicating late deliveries, issuing reorders, and providing invoice reconciliation
· Review shortages and adjust promotions
· Update discontinued items, vendor changes, and product UPC changes in the system
· Lead all aspects of distributor changes, including communicating with new vendors on start date, current distributor’s final date, Ad activity verification, and coordinating appropriate documentation requests
· Support the Category Management team by actively seeking out administrative functions to complete.
Key Performance Indicators
· Alignment of category action plans with strategic organization goals
· Cross-functional communication and collaboration (category success, inventory control, marketing, and product safety)
· Timely analyses of categories to optimize product mix
· Timely completion of weekly administrative duties to established deadlines
