Job Summary:
The Sourcing Lead owns vendor relationships end-to-end — finding, qualifying, onboarding, and managing suppliers across both onshore (Canadian/North American) and offshore sourcing channels. This is a role for someone who treats supplier relationships as a strategic asset, not just a transaction, and who can move fast without cutting corners on quality, cost, or reliability.
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
Location: in-office position at our Oakville, ON facility; Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:

Own vendor relations across the supplier base — be the primary point of contact for pricing, performance, and issue resolution

Source, vet, and onboard new vendors (onshore and offshore), including due diligence on quality, capacity, compliance, and financial stability

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to improve cost, lead time, and quality — negotiate pricing and terms that protect margin

Build and maintain onboarding playbooks, vendor scorecards, and performance reviews

Diversify and de-risk the supply base across categories, balancing cost advantages of offshore sourcing against speed and flexibility of onshore partners

Collaborate with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure vendor performance supports on-time delivery

Monitor market trends, input costs, and supplier risk (tariffs, capacity, geopolitical) that could affect sourcing strategy
Skills and Qualifications:

3–5+ years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain — apparel and/or promotional products sourcing experience preferred

Track record managing both domestic and international (offshore) vendor relationships

Strong negotiation skills and comfort owning commercial terms, not just relaying them

Highly organized — able to run multiple vendor onboarding and sourcing projects at once

Comfortable with data: cost comparisons, vendor scorecards, spend analysis

Clear, confident communicator who can hold vendors accountable while maintaining strong relationships

Bonus: experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude) to speed up vendor research, RFQ comparisons, and reporting — we're an AI-forward team and expect our leaders to use it daily
