We’re a small, community-focused bike park offering lift-accessed downhill riding in a fun, supportive environment. Our programs are built around progression, confidence, and making mountain biking accessible for riders of all ages and abilities.
Overview
We’re looking for enthusiastic, skilled Mountain Bike Instructors to join our team on a weekend and casual basis. You’ll be teaching a mix of kids’ group programs, private lessons, and entry-level downhill mountain bike experiences for riders new to the sport.
For candidates with additional skills such as bike mechanics or trail building there is potential to expand this role into a part-time or full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct kids’ group programs in a safe, engaging, and supportive way
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of diverse ages and backgrounds
- Deliver private and semi-private lessons tailored to individual rider goals
- Introduce new riders to downhill mountain biking, including lift use, trail awareness, and foundational skills
- Assess rider ability and adapt lessons to suit different ages and skill levels
- Create a positive, inclusive environment that builds confidence and progression
- Ensure all safety protocols and risk management practices are followed
- Support daily operations and contribute to a great overall guest experience
Additional Opportunities (Optional Expanded Role)
Candidates with experience in the following areas may be considered for increased hours: Bike mechanics and maintenance, Trail building and maintenance, General bike park operations
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong mountain biking skills, particularly in downhill riding
- Experience working with kids, youth programs, or coaching (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback
- Positive attitude and strong team mindset
- Current First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Coaching certifications (e.g., PMBIA or equivalent) are an asset
