Romaya Law Corporation is a newly established firm in Vancouver, BC, looking for a Litigation Lawyer to take the lead on both Civil and Commercial litigation files.
We're seeking a lawyer with 2–4 years of experience in litigation law who can work independently, supervise support staff, and manage high-volume transactions with confidence and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft civil law pleadings, motion materials, affidavits, factums, conference briefs, and related court documents
- Conduct legal research to support case strategy and advocacy
- Represent clients in negotiations, conferences, and settlement discussions
- Manage files efficiently while maintaining excellent client communication
- Stay current with British Columbia civil law legislation, case law, and procedural rules
- Collaborate with firm lawyers and support staff to ensure effective file management
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–4 years of experience practicing litigation law, or a combination of 1–2 years as a litigation clerk plus experience as a lawyer
- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple files under pressure
- Demonstrated experience practicing Civil/Commercial Law in BC
- Strong legal drafting, research, and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism, ethics, and commitment to client confidentiality
